Educate
Recently, we partnered with two community and youth basketball programs to coordinate weekly educational sessions focused on literacy and mathematics, complemented by engaging workshops every Sunday afternoon. These initiatives not only provide essential learning opportunities but also allow us to survey participants and gather insights on effective strategies for reducing violence and homicides in Birmingham, AL. By fostering open dialogue and collaboration, we aim to empower our youth and cultivate a safer, more supportive environment for everyone in the community. Together, we can drive meaningful change and contribute to a brighter future for our city.
We partnered with Bamagotnow, which is youth sports program that host elite pickup runs specifically designed for middle-high school athletes in grades 6-12. These sessions bring together exceptional talent from local schools and youth leagues, providing a unique opportunity to enhance basketball culture while developing our youth to their fullest potential.
Also, we have partnered with BhamOpenRuns, which is a community-driven initiative focused on strengthening connections and fostering a sense of brotherhood among basketball enthusiasts in Birmingham. By hosting elite open runs, they provide a positive outlet that encourages participants to come together through their shared passion for the game. The program emphasizes unity and creates a supportive environment where individuals can enhance their skills and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the basketball court.
